One of the main problems that we usually have to face when we land in a city is how do we get to our hotel / house / or whatever destination from the airport. You will probably arrive in Barcelona by plane, so you need to know the different alternatives that you can use in order to get to the city center from Barcelona Airport or vice versus.
Aerobus is definitely one of the fastest ways. In order to go to the Airport, both Terminals 1 and 2, you can take the bus that goes from Plaça Catalunya to Airport. Each ticket has a price of 5, 9€ and you have different stops: Plaça Catalunya, Sepúlveda – Urgell, Plaça d’Espanya and Airport T1 and T2. You can find more information on this link.
If you prefer to take the train, you can take it both in Passeig de Gracia or Barcelona Sants (Sants Estaciò). The train runs from Airport to Barcelona and from Barcelona to Airport every 30 minutes from 6:00Am to 23:00PM. It’s located in Terminal T2. However, if you have to go to T1, there’s a shuttle that takes you there. This way of transport is really useful considering that all the stations that you can get off at (Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gracia or Clot) are connected to the metro in order to arrive to your final destination.More information on the website.
Barcelona Metro L9 Sud is the new line that connects the Barcelona City Centre and the Airport, both to terminals 1 and 2, close to the Train Station in this second location. With this method, you can just join onto the metro net.
This is without any doubt the fastest way to leave Barcelona Airport, or to get to the airport. However, it might not be the fastest way to go through the city, because it has so much traffic. The price will vary from 25€ to 30€ approx. Here you can find more information.
Same concept as the taxi but cheaper in some cases. Similar to Uber, you can call taxis from an app and pay through it. Same problem as taxis, you may find a lot of traffic, but is a really comfort transport. Don’t forget to download the app!
